The
IALS is the place people come to for education, training
and research in key issues of the life sciences. As an international
membership organization, the IALS provides a compass through
innovative integration across the disciplines of the Life Sciences,
law, management and technology.
Since
1979, the IALS and its associates, the BMEP (Biomedical
Sciences Exchange Program) and the GBM (Association
for Innovation and Technology Transfer Biomedicine),
have established an effective international communication
network in the Life Sciences (s. Achievements).
This network originated from a
transatlantic biomedical exchange program between the US
and Europe (Germany):

To
foster creative and strategic thinking and to promote
leadership in the Life Sciences.

To
meet tomorrow's demand for decision-makers who understand
the increasingly relevant political, social and economic context
in the international landscape of Life Sciences/ Biomedical
Sciences/ Health Care Delivery.

To promote the interfaces Academia-Industry-Government.
